Good morning my fellow French Republican Calendar enthusiasts. It's sextidi 6 Frimaire in the year of the Republic CCXXXIV. Today's modern item to celebrate is the plaster, as modelled by yours truly.

For clarity, I'm not endorsing Black Friday or consumerism in general.

Now then. It's tridi 3 Frimaire in the year of the Republic CCXXXIV. Today we should celebrate something I've very little understanding of, though I'm aware that their invention gave a lot of people a lot more freedom. Three cheers for period products, be they tampons, mooncups or whatever.

Would you believe it? We're at the start of the third month of the French Republican Calendar, primidi 1 Frimaire, the month of frosts, in the year of the Republic CCXXXIV. Let's crack open a bottle to celebrate, and while you're doing it, celebrate the bottle opener that let you do it.

Alright then cockers? I've surprised myself by getting to the end of the second month of the French Republican Calendar. We reach the end of the month of mists on décadi 30 Brumaire in the year of the Republic CCXXXIV. We're going to celebrate the piano today, because why not?

The irony that I'm making a coffee right now isn't lost on me, but anyway, today we celebrate tea.

Afternoon folks. Here we are on septidi 27 Brumaire in the year of the Republic CCXXXIV. I suppose my choice of celebration today comes from my natural predisposition to paperwork and my actual job as a civil servant. Everyone likes a clipboard though, don't they? Everyone has one, right?

Good morning to you my fine friends on quintidi 25 Brumaire in the year of the Republic CCXXXIV. Today we're celebrating paint tubes. Tubes of paint let artists get out of their studios & that completely changed their view of the world. Without paint in tubes, no modern art, and no modern world.

Hello there Blueskyers. What a delightful day it is on tridi 23 Brumaire in the year of the Republic CCXXXIV. Yesterday we celebrated hoodies, and today you can put your hoodie in your backpack and head off out into the world. Not encouraging wearing of backpacks to gigs though. We're not emo kids.

Yo ho. It's octidi 18 Brumaire in the year of the Republic CCXXXIV. It feels like a fine day to celebrate the crane. I'm thinking about the type used in building, not the bird. They may crop up later in the year. I'm not telling.
