The worst thing about @nocontexttrek1.bsky.social is they have trained me to open alt text expecting an extra bonus joke but almost everyone on this site sensibly uses it for a straightforward description of the image

There's a thin layer of iridium-rich rock covering almost the entire world called the K-Pg Boundary. It was the first clue that led scientists to propose and then prove that a meteor killed the dinosaurs.
