this exact bag of dog food is $18 at the circle k 0.3 miles away, $16 at the cvs 0.8 miles away, and $12 at the H‑E‑B 1.3 miles away. I hate that this is normal to us.

i was raised in a house where you weren’t allowed to “be tired” so I’ve been in the habit all my life of forcing myself to do things even when I’m exhausted. Lately I’ve allowed myself to rest when I’m tired and I’m starting to get concerned about HOW tired I always am

The problem with “it’s not a choice” as the core of a defense, whether of being transgender or simply being fat, is the frequency of an implicit underlying “because nobody would ever want to be like this,” which is simply not true in either case.

they are, drawing from the strategy used in britain, trying to carve the LGB away from the TQ, and triangulate pro-nationalist cis LGBs to act the attack dog element against trans people. so in this strategy, anti-transness and anti-abortion is not contradictory to retaining gay marriage.

the children’s museum i work at, so as to not drive the adults nuts with kid music all day, instead opts to play instrumental versions/covers of regular music.
this unfortunately led to them playing a lo-fi instrumental cover of “rape me” by nirvana the other day 😭

bumping this a bit since the bills left us with no money for food. We get paid again next Thursday and that will FINALLY be a paycheck that won’t all go to rent so i can finally stop e-begging 😭 the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak
I was going to wait until Friday to set this up but we had a scare yesterday when our power went out so I’m sharing it today. We only need $325 to keep our power on but we don’t even have that atm. Anything we raise past that will go towards paying off the balance and other bills

so I decided once i’m done with this batch of commissions I will be focusing on my own stuff exclusively :) I want to get back to making art for fun again. I want to draw my comic but I don’t want to be beholden to posting at a regular schedule and I’m fine with that affecting it negatively
