Took a quick look at Body Count and looks like they changed the Sega Mouse with the Mega Mouse, as expected from the region (yes, US mouse is "Mega" and non-US mouse is "Sega", they got it backwards).

Also that's definitely Not Bruce Willis™.

I just realised that scrolling can be used to do temporal reprojection of interlaced lines to reduce the artefacts. Only in 2d space but still 😮!

had the smart idea to use a bunch of sprites up like this, virtually free as far as performance goes because the screen-space coordinates for the corners are already figured out.

Bit more work needed before it's really a complete game, but this is coming together nicely.

So it is possible to do 60fps 3d on the sega megadrive by using a very exotic indexing method to simulate 2 colors + alternating lines + fast DMA. Totally interlaced my brain 🙃
