This is insane. Also, what kind of world do we live in where Keith Olbermann makes enough money to do this?

This is objectively better written than whatever Nuzzi put out.

I continue to see no real discussion about the vast imbalance in performance among white women with college degrees and non-college educated white women. The latter group is larger, esp in swing states.
November 17, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Going into Election Day, it was clear that the Harris campaign and Democrats in general had hoped for a greater performance among white women. The result obviously wasn't a Rogan problem.

It's weird that Buttigieg is talking about white men rather than men of color. Harris's performance with white men was still consistent with a Dem victory (look at 2020 exit polls). Her performance Latino men in particular was where the bottom dropped out.

I grew up in Greenville, SC, and I'm consistently impressed by its growth since I left for college in the early '90s. It's the biggest county in the state, but it's still pretty red -- especially compared to Fulton County/Atlanta.

Even if this were actually true (and I don't think it is), the Right has consistently said worse things about Fetterman's wife than even the most far-left Bluesky user. For me, that would make getting chummy with the Right non-negotiable.

I recall @clairewillett.bsky.social pointing out that Democrats actively campaign on "here's what we'll do once we kill the filibuster" and then fail to do so. They've now given up the game. "You'll never have this good stuff we always promise."

Kansas and Ohio both defended abortion rights -- while that doesn't mean they are going to start electing Democrats statewide, it does mean that even "red" states don't support draconian abortion bans. Trump himself ran away from abortion bans last year!
November 13, 2025 at 7:31 PM
As @clairewillett.bsky.social , @nberlat.bsky.social and I have discussed, mainstream Dems have an obsessive, unreasonable narrative regarding Democratic losses that blame not just the left but the most vulnerable voters
November 10, 2025 at 10:15 PM
If Democrats proceeded from the position that defeat was inevitable, then ... why bother? It's just performative *or* a cynical move to drive turnout for the election. Caving just days later only fuels that GOP narrative.

We’ve been here before. It’s just that wiser people were our leaders.

It occurs to me that the “women screwed up the workplace” argument in the @nytimes manages to define “woman” in ways that are entirely unrelated to supposed biological “sex.” Funny that.
November 9, 2025 at 1:06 AM
Pelosi herself has said she applauded Trump in earnest yet I still see this photo presented as an example of mocking resistance. The power of narrative.
November 7, 2025 at 5:58 PM
Any narrative about Cuomo somehow beating Mamdani in the general, with Swila's help, is all based on Democratic primaries meaning nothing! Eric Adams defeated Kathryn Garcia by less than a percentage point in the final round of RCV. Mamdani defeated Cuomo by 12 points.
November 6, 2025 at 11:13 PM
And there's this snide remark. KBJ correctly noted that there's a distinction between what she considered any difference between men and women and the *legal* differences, which are what's relevant for her job.
November 6, 2025 at 8:02 PM
Also: This is flatly untrue. I have not encountered any feminist or liberal who believes men and women are the same! (It's different from wanting equal treatment.)
November 6, 2025 at 8:00 PM
Hillary Clinton crushed Bernie Sanders in New York City when she won the 2016 New York primary (Sanders predictably did better outside what is considered the financial capital of the world).

I think Mamdani beating a mainstream former Dem with almost full MAGA support is relevant.
November 5, 2025 at 7:16 PM
Fetterman supported Bernie Sanders for president, who shares Mamdani’s “extreme views and opinions.” This sudden change makes him look like either a total fraud or a bigot.

Cheney willingly lied America into a war that cost millions of lives. No Republican would ever forget anything similar that a Democrat had done, even in death.

This whitewashing doesn't make voters think Dems are kind. It makes them think Dems are simply playing games w politics and lack conviction
November 5, 2025 at 1:07 AM
When Biden passes away, no Republican will ever credit his "strong liberal values," mostly because Republicans are consistent in stating that liberals have no values.

There's no evidence Dems speaking positively about Reps (esp .known bad actors) makes Republicans less radicalized against us.
November 5, 2025 at 12:55 AM
Thinking more about Gore losing his home state of TN was actually considered a shock in 2000. (He also lost narrowly, by swing state levels -- a far contrast to 2024 when Harris lost by 30 points).
November 4, 2025 at 8:04 PM
A US president referring to "their own people," without any pretense that he's president of *all* Americans.

Also, he's flat-out wrong. Harris won voters who made more than $100K and Trump won voters who made less. It's a reversal of the Obama/Romney 2012 dynamic.

@gothamgirlblue.com, @owillis.bsky.social, @editorialboard.bsky.social and I all insisted that it made no sense for Joe Biden to spend a minute in the same room with Donald Trump. Nothing was gained offering this monster civility he never returned.
