I'm of the opinion that games are at their best when the main character starts out sleeping, and you can wake them up. I've also added a super important 'fall back asleep' flow so you can just ... go to sleep anytime during the game by holding the down button. Also ... yellow egg.

I've got an itch to do something in PICO-8, and that 'something' might be this old bubble game that I started ages ago.

Added some tiny animations for the character and the bubbles. Not gonna be too serious about process, I just want to experiment with mechanics, sharpen things up a bit.

Grabbed my TweetTweetJam code from the other day, dropped it into Picotron and with some *very* minor tweaks already had it running in about 2 minutes. I love #pico8 and #picotron. They're so perfectly compatible with how my brain works.

Not quite in time to compress the code for #tweettweetjam but I did my darndest to make a tiny game during this week. A lil burger-maker! And it's honestly pretty fun! Might make this into something.

Trying some randomly-generated levels. Using srand() to control the seed is a great trick for having some measure of control over level design despite the limitations!
