My first thanksgiving with my eventual spouse's family (32 folks at dinner, more than I'd ever been to), my FIL made the gravy with the white powder in a canister that was in the cupboard where the corn starch usually was.
It was powdered sugar. It didn't really thicken, 1/2

If you want literature to exist you have to support it and that doesn't always mean you, personally, will pay. The more we USE our libraries the better they can justify their funding, and the more people they can serve.

Though not in the 'I was directly involved' sense like you mean, yeah, that. Y'all were the background noise and frontground laughter of my adult life, especially when I was down or lonely or, for one special month, confined to bed so I could eventually have a baby. Thanks for all of it.
