Completely unrelated to my usual stuff but top surgery really was the best choice I ever made and I’m so lucky it was available to me and I love my parents so much for paying for it and being there with me every step of the way.

When Luo Binghe finally allows Shen Jiu to die, it’s a mercy. And then he opens his eyes to a familiar bedroom, barely more than a closet, in the servants’ quarters of the Qiu manor. This time, he’ll do it right. This time, he’ll wait.

In the end, Shen Qingqiu tells her some herbs to make into tea and when Luo Binghe does the inevitable, she doesn't get pregnant. It does feel like how her shizun described, like something essential has been cut out of her insides with a jagged knife. But pretending helps.

Ning Yingying can’t argue with that. Nobody likes her shizun except for her. He’s a hard man to like. But everybody likes Luo Binghe, even now.

Shen Qingqiu gives a look that Ning Yingying is very familiar with, the look he gives when she plays a wrong note or paints a blob instead of a tree and he doesn't want to scold her like the others. "If nobody stepped in to stop him then, how could I expect anyone to care about what he did now?"
