It makes zero difference how much you win by, a W is a W. Point differential isn't a thing in most leagues so "shitting on your opponent harder" doesn't mean anything materially. Usually you still want to let it ride for potential tiebreaker but if it's super close maybe not.

I feel there are very few scenarios where the very tiny risk of losing the week outweighs the (still small) risk of losing 10-20 points for a playoff tie breaker. Defenses are the one exception since they can easily score in the negatives.
