An extremely good turnout in Nipaluna (Hobart) today -est 7000 - to stand against a ridiculous stadium, bullying by the AFL of a spineless Lib govt and pointless Labor ‘opposition’ who just agree with them cos ‘jobs’ but blind to crippling ongoing debt. Yeah, nah #politas

I harvested my garlic today because it was ready. It’s November!!! And eating blackcurrants before the redcurrants are ready. It really feels like lucky dip in the garden at the moment.

Two greenhouse frames up with an extension. Now to lay cardboard floor and cover with wire mesh to keep the birds and critters out of my fruit. I will have berries and cherries this year!

Can’t decide if my Autumn Raspberry is very late or early in Lutruwita (Tas)! With snow on the mountain I’m going with late, lmao. Either way the birds are onto it!

Anyone recognise this friend (or maybe not friend)? New to my garden this spring and currently lounging in a plum tree.

Beach life. Collecting fresh seaweed for my garden and compost, and realising this is what my ancestors, in another place, did for centuries.

Well that’s a first. Just had an echidna come do the rounds of my garden. It’s usually just bandicoots.

Day #3 spring cleaning - kitchen. From the toaster to the pantry and everything in between. Rescued this from the veg crisper and it grew an inch just today. Life!

Day #1 of spring cleaning before the equinox. All the windows and external doors and sills, inside and out, plus flyscreens. Perfect overcast, warm day for it. Here’s blossom on my peach and Damson plum before the gale blows it all off tonight.

Yeah I know it’s mid-September in lutruwita (Tasmania) and we had snow on kunanyi last week and will again this week. But, I just harvested my first capsicums of the year. Grown inside and parked by a sunny window. Small wins.

Good grief! And we wonder how it is that people think AI is just another useful digital tool? This from my local library. With only 1/2 hour can guarantee nothing is said about copyright theft to feed LLMs or the horrendous energy consumption of this technology.
