i wish this was different! i do love talking with folks, i would love to show my work in video and talk through my process more often, and i happen to be fairly quick on my feet and well-spoken in these types of settings!

i just sound like how i sound, and it's very rare folks are Normal about it

regardless, i am who i am. and my deep, bassy gravel is not something i'm particularly ashamed of

i am, however, perpetually annoyed and perplexed by everyone's reaction to it. which is why i don't do video content, do audio interviews often, or showcase it outside of my music or my radio show

it genuinely sucks that so few folks like myself survive this long, let alone find themselves in places and professions where they can tell these kinds of stories through multiple creative forms and outlets

working class backgrounds are painfully underrepresented and i wish i wasn't so rare

i am a walking tank of a white trash cat who has spent her life doin' manual labour and workin' in kitchens to make ends meet, livin' on the bad side of the tracks and the law, and generally getting her shit wrecked and surviving

my voice, in my art and in my lungs, is a reflection of that life

i do not want to put anyone on blast here, i have gotten an apology for this after the fact. things are chill.

but this happens *so frequently* and it stings every single time

i am a femme, i go by she/her pronouns

referring to me by masculine anything will not be taken well.
