a homemade rice bowl nearly full of rice and curry split down the middle, with jeera basmati rice on the left and Japanese golden curry with bean sprouts, sweet potatoes, snap peas, carrots, water chestnuts, and a touch of mushroom soy sauce on the right. the whole dish is covered in nori furekake. the poster in progress for the Jazzy Fuckin Holidays charity marathon, continued from the quoted post. the inks on the femme figure and her hair now have much more definition, the mistletoe wreath she hides behind has started being inked, and the embellished capitals in the lettering (the J, F, and H in the title JAZZY FUCKIN HOLIDAYS) have slightly more definition to them.

Maya is a young woman in her early twenties with light skin, shoulder-length black hair styled in a flip, and purple eyes. At 5'6" (168 cm), she could be considered tall (especially in Japan where Persona 2 is set), although she is shorter than fellow party member Yukino Mayuzumi. Her outfit is unique and appears to be custom-made: she wears a two-piece ensemble consisting of a two-tone brown jacket with distinctive pink hearts on the chest and a matching skirt trimmed in metallic silver paired with knee-high brown boots, finished off with a long navy necktie. Her nails are painted dark red.

If you’ve listened to this show at all in the past checks notes ever, you’ll know that we take the definition of jazz reeeeeal fast and loose ‘round these parts. We’ve played everything from DJ Spooky to Last Exit on the program at some point, and we’ll be pushing that envelope even further into the weird this evening with Osaka’s own whirlwhind of cutesy, zany violence: Midori. Fronted by vocalist, DJ, and chaos elemental Mariko Gotō – seen to the left over there in the teddy bear outfit and occasionally seen taking her panties off onstage and throwing them at the audience – Midori draws two of its founding members and a lot of its sound from noise-punk act Usagi., and whooooooo BUDDY does it show. The quartet’s entire discography is filled with the kind of barely coherent, whiplash-inducing, and extremely danceable arrangements that would make the cats from Naked City take a powder.

The artist's hand now holds a brush, filling in the smallcaps in a rich deep black. The initial capitals now have a double border around them, and the small-caps have additional flourishes around both Is and the S. Further flourishes have been added on the letters, and a bow of mistletoe with a very new-skool bow has been thrown down in the lower right, wrapping tentacle-like around and in front of the capital H and behind the capital J.

Hard-boiled, romantic, violent and sharp, old-time radio still has a poetic edge all these years later.
