tbh i think the average consumer doesn't care how their media is made - only that the final product is good. obviously i disagree, but sure, fine.
but for those of us that DO care, transparency and disclosure would be nice. nutrition labeling for media. free range and organic for me, please.

i didnt want to specify initially because i would like to give the devs a chance to clarify, but e33 yes. an AI-generated "placeholder" slipped through, but that could be the actions of an individual rather than something that the whole team agreed on, etc.

yes the game was great, just like bacon grease is probably tasty. but sometimes people consume things for all sorts of reasons, not just how much they enjoy them, ya know?

a shame, because the game studio im vagueposting about did make some of my favorite games of all time. but will i really suffer if i dont play their newest installment? definitely not.

i was fortunate enough to have a job previously that did allow me to afford it, so choosing NOT to pirate was purely a matter of principle for me. but what do i do now...?

even outside of video games as a medium, i think that some people can't or won't differentiate between personal taste the actual quality and execution of the art. "if i like it its good, if i dont like its bad" is as far as it goes for some people
