I didn't win this award at the conference in Brussels but it was still amazing to be a finalist. The person who did win (Heloisa Fischer) has done some amazing work.

I managed to get the certificate home with only a mild crease in it. I should win an award for THAT feat! 🤣

Plain language doesn't mean lawyers must give up legal precision, accuracy or certainty. In fact, plain legal communication is usually more precise, accurate and certain than traditional legal language.

The standard aims to work for most languages, legal documents and sectors. As much as possible, the standard allows for differences in legal systems.

At one of the many museums I went to in DC last summer. The horror of access to great art. So dangerous!

BTW, I felt very safe in DC.

A wonderful gift from friends who went to a meeting in Japan that I couldn't attend. How sweet.

I haven't taken her out of her packaging yet.

Fab t-shirt a friend gave to me today. Guess what I'll be wearing to the Pride parade this year.

Someone's tuckered out. Lots of fighting and growling right now, with 3 baby reds hanging out on the deck. They are fierce little monsters.

Aren't these fab? I had one last year but now there are two. I did not plant these!

Saw this cutie on my #StetWalk today.

It sat still for ages until a woman came along. She was so busy looking at her phone that she didn't know what I was looking at (she said something to me). But her dogs lunged for it and it took off, in a fright.

I turned and walked away w/o speaking to her.

My husband bought these on a whim because they were on sale for $1 and he thought my reaction would be worth it. So Very Pink! I generally like pink but this plasticky pink is weird. And the products have too much sugar for me. Even my husband can't eat the cookies and he's a sugar fiend!
