I wish I could say my reasons for blacklisting Facebook were these... but it was the algorithm's penchant for exhausting my ability to hope, question my worth in view of my friends, and revealed that my closest dead friends had become brand affiliates (their death was co-opted to spit ads at us).

2 of them went on to maintain a movie theater that was a converted fire department station for years after Blockbuster went under. Not 100%, but I might've seen that there, or mentioned in the lobby on something

I thank Blockbuster for bringing a handful of serious film weirdos in my life really, at their peak we had 3 of them within biking distance, and each one had a few employees picks walls, they were my first celebrities and they knew it hehe

It could be a matter of grass is always greener, but I find myself really admiring democracies that manage to have 10+ parties all represented. I can't even imagine the U.S. will ever get there in my lifetime.

I love Panos Cosmatos' aesthetic - especially in this and the episode he did for Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities called 'The Viewing'. If a bag of money ever falls into my lap there's a pretty high chance i'd toss it his way to make whatever he wished.
