Those kinds of people should read Emmanuel Levinas. "The Other" is an important concept for moral development. We can't replace our responsiblity to other agents with artifacts for our convienence. It might actually be immoral.

The big tech execs suck as social interactions. As Mark Zuckerberg claims, "The average American has 3 friends, but has demand for 15". And they think they can fill that gap with AI. But anyone with common sense knows that a bot is never a friend.
