Feminist. She/her. Philadelphian.
I investigate cases involving the catastrophic injury & death of working people. How a society treats those who do its work shows how good it is. No one should be permanently injured or killed making a living.
High risk pool in insurance speak is "money-losing".
Insurance companies are in the business of making money.
As much money as possible.
For shareholders.
Which is why a system that involves insurance companies without heavy heavy regulation will never work.

Ooof.
Also, Even people who LOVE shopping (and there are many of all genders) do NOT love shopping for insurance.
Shopping for insurance sucks.
Everyone hates it.
No exceptions.

I think "business as usual" and "thinking life is normal" are two different things. As a business owner, the services I provide clients are going on as normal, because the systems they function in are continuing.
But as far as life-do people really feel this is normal? Not me. Not people I know.

Was in the hospital ED the other day when a woman came in claiming she has chemical burns from getting laundry detergent on her areolas and needs the full work up right away - she demanded an MRI, CAT scan and EKG. Then she said the burns are making her crave ice chips.

Trump is using pardons in the same way he has used other parts of his public office: not as a demonstration of reasoned mercy, but as an opportunity to extract benefits for himself, his family or supporters.
Call it what it is: corruption.
