So, I am not familiar with this person. I don't know his politics. But the fact he is a country singer and wears camo definitely codes in a more right wing way. And we need to amplify these messages as much as we can.

Morality and common decency shouldn't be partisan.

Is it sad that I like it better than "illegals"? I really, really dislike when they call people "illegals".

Maybe they didn't like it when people (rightly) pointed out many Republicans fit that description better than undocumented immigrants?

We do have a problem.

But I would also argue that the ultra wealthy also have a problem that they haven't recognized yet.

When massive wealth inequality reaches a tipping point the results aren't always pretty.

This is only one story of what I am sure are many of how they make lives better.

I have been making the comparisons to Hitler and like to think I'm fairly well versed in history, but this article hit me like a ton of bricks.
Hitler was inspired by the American South and Jim Crow.
This was a connection I had not made. We are repeating our own sins.

Our country has a long history of prejudice. The outgroup can change over time, and it's amazing how quickly we forget.
