Agreed. Unfortunately, I think there is an older generation of Dems who are still using a playbook that has been solidly shredded by the Republicans. We need fighters at this point, not genteel statesmen.

Trump has taken the idea of class warfare and dialed it up to 11. A wealthy or powerful drug lord gets pardoned and/or alliances. Low level fishermen or suspected runners get the death penalty.

Confession time: pre-Trump I was a Republican. Small government, fiscal conservative, the works. He repulsed me so much I left the party, and I have been moving more left the more overreaches on the right I see.
