Just look it up. Apparently Switzerland does have a FOIA but it only applies to the federal government, so presumably not the EBU.

That leaves me wondering if Switzerland has some version of FOIA requests that could be sent to the EBU.

Yeah, it absolutely sucks. So far @escinsight.com hasn't paused, but then it's a website that likes to go into the weeds about the underlying issues, and i think that'll be needed in the months to come.

I think this issue will probably explode again during the national final season.

I totally understand your reasoning for this. I'll be continuing to watch the national finals but not the main contest. I also want to explore the alternatives - not just PanArcticVision but also the likes of Sami Grand Prix and Falastinvision.

So basically exactly what happened with Shahrar Ali vs Green Party

A slightly pendantic note on that screenshot - the RCN is her trade union, not the regulator (though she is indeed suing them). It would be the NMC who consider any regulatory action.

As I recall, with Ali v GPEW, the GC crowd proclaimed it as a media win while the Greens took away the legal precedent that they don't have to tolerate transphobia so long as they use a fair process.
