Watched a 2 parter, an episode about dealing with the aftermath of the 2 parter, and a tour of goodwill held for the townsfolk after dealing with the aftermath of the 2 parter... I feel like I've covered a solid plot arc tonight.
Sure is a big gopher though.

Eden's BoWy... I'd see it at a used dvd store, but the dvd covers looked ugly, so I kept ignoring it. Then I did a Rightstuf Blind Buy and they sent me Eden's BoWy, and I was like OH NO, not this ONE!

Urusei Yatsura: Only You-Movie 1
I've seen this movie before, it was pretty good, but now I've seen 50+ episodes of the tv show. This has elevated my enjoyment of 'Only You' immensely. 'Only You' distills the UY core conceits down to movie length maximal animation effort, and IT'S GORGEOUS!

Urusei Yatsura: Only You-Movie 1
I've seen this movie before, it was pretty good, but now I've seen 50+ episodes of the tv show. This has elevated my enjoyment of 'Only You' immensely. 'Only You' distills the UY core conceits down to movie length maximal animation effort, and IT'S GORGEOUS!

This arrangement of Tokyopop volumes 1-6/Seven Seas Omnibus 3-7 has only 4 phases/episodes of overlap without missing materials. The omnibus pages are bigger, so the art is BIGGER... but if you're trying not to rebuy what you have... that's the balance.
Tokyopop 7-8 are completely redundant.

I think, and I could be wrong, but this might just be my favorite episode of Sasami San. As I've gotten older I, and most of my friends are falling into that period of life where someone is always falling asleep while we hang out.
If only the pace was sleepy, I'm tired.

Here's my closely guarded main character design my brother helped me draw up. by which I mean. I told him what I was looking for, and he made it in Microsoft paint, and after he did that he swore off Microsoft Paint forever and learned other programs. I made a point to keep her design offline.

I also scoped out Frogchildren Studio's Clockwork Girl. and at the time I started my novel it seemed to be just a vaporware movie... but it did eventually come out and I finally watched it. It's very very rough viewing, but there's some charm to it, I didn't feel like I'd wasted my time at least.

And then another friend gifted me a copy of Wind Up Girl.
Wind up Girl is very well realized and the premise is awful. It was thoughtful and supportive, and I don't like it
