Many disabled NYC renters are treated like dirt. We are often judged and discriminated. We are treated like a burden. We have to go through too much to get aid that the city knows is needed. I get SSI for lupus,ptsd, and mobility issues. HRA knows this. So why do I have to risk my life to prove it?

I get 1000 from SSI. HRA won't help. They tell me to get evicted, go to a shelter,& then I will qualify for CityFheps. This is them knowing I have medical equipment, mobility aids, and I am Immunocompromised from Lupus meds. I'm not the only disabled nyc resident who goes through this hell. Part 2/3
