Yeah, the Doctor should never fancy his companion! At least, not if they're a young Earth woman.

It's become dogma that, in order to be sympathetic/relatable, the companion MUST be from contemporary Earth. Which I get, but it was never an issue in the past.

By far the best Pertwee pairing! And I love that Katy's become fandom's quirky nan.

I really, really love the 4th Doctor and Leela. It's another twist on the tutor/student role, with a big pinch of Pygmalion thrown in. She deserved a much better send off than the one she got.
