Just as I thought. I checked with my Birdweather app and even though there was only one White-throated Sparrow there were more calls detected than the 20+ House Sparrows combined.

Just as I thought. I checked with my Birdweather app and even though there was only one White-throated Sparrow there were more calls detected than the 20+ House Sparrows combined.
The single White-throated that stayed around has really made himself at home with the 20+ House Sparrows. He's very hard to spot but is probably the most vocal bird in the wildlife gardens. "Mr Peabody" on and off all day.

3 Red-tailed Hawks in the sky above my house today. The third isn't an interloper... but 99% sure that it's junior (with no red tail yet) hanging out with mum and dad. I don't see junior around very often.

It's very uncommon to see both of the local Red-tailed Hawks hunting in tandem. One of them usually hunts while the other watches from a short distance away.
They definitely had a strategy - one would flush while the other lingered higher.
