T.MicroSat-1 (Taiwan Space Agency) on 401.025 MHz, in FM mode. Played Beethoven Ode to Joy, then two bursts of telemetry? Thanks to @SV2HWM for putting me on to this satellite.

Over Vancouver this evening.

Lovely shot from METEOR M2-3 this afternoon. Received via TV rabbit ears antenna with my own simple ground station here in Metro Vancouver. Too bad about the signal dropout bars but a good view of the remnants of the atmospheric river which has brought flooding to WA State and SW BC.

Crop from today's "blue marble" GOES-18 shot. Such amazing imagery, from low pressure systems, atmospheric rivers, and the long-persisting Tule fog bank due to a temperature inversion over a large swath of California. As received and processed with my own ground station.

OK. Just appeared in my inbox, from OpenAI and the ChatGPT team.

A little concerned, perhaps, about those people at the Googleplex in Mountain View CA?

Atmospheric river remnants through 2055 UTC / 12:55 PM PST Friday afternoon.

Here in my part of Metro Vancouver this "river" dropped 89 mm of rain. Elsewhere, dramatically higher.

As we see in this sequence of GOES-18 shots, another event, liklely to hit Sunday-Monday, is taking shape to the E.

Power outages in these four WA State counties, Thursday Dec 11, 9:40 PM: Whatcom, Skagit, Chelan, Clallam.

Given the flooding seen in Whatcom County it's a but puzzling to see just two customer outages.

Today's "blue marble" shot from GOES-18. At 2100 UTC / 1 PM PST, as received and processed with my own Nooelec ground station in Vancouver.

Standouts are the remnants of this week's atmospheric river event, and the possible formation of another, and the still-persisting Tule fog bank in California.

An example of the flooding just across the border in Sumas WA resulting from this week's atmospheric river event. This is taken from a Facebook post. I was struck by the matter-of-fact tone in the post.

Remnants of the atmospheric river events of the past three days continue to maintain a fairly coherent shape, albeit drifting northward, as they cross into BC and WA state. Dry day today in Metro Vancouver. This sequence shows data through 4:35 PM PST.

FORTE10 on the job again along the Moldova/Ukraine/Belarus/Kaliningrad borders, and US military contractor Lasai Aviation on an unusual mission over the Black Sea. Both sbapshots at 0920z Thursday.

Latest atmospheric river sequence through 11:45 PM. "River" maintaining a remarkably stable track, which is not good news for areas of WA State facing record stream levels and flooding. Some flooding, evacuations in BC's Fraser Valley east of Vancouver as well. Rain has eased off in Metro Vancouver.

Earlier today, via TV rabbit ears antenna and 137 MHz radio signal, a shot of today's atmospheric river event from an almost directly overhead pass fror Vancouver by Russian weather satellite METEOR M2-3.

Today's beautiful "blue marble" shot from GOES-18 masks the devastation being visited upon WA State, and SW BC from the large atmospheric river you see sweeping the upper part of this image.

As received and processed via 1.7 GHz radio signal in Vancouver with my own ground station from @Nooelec.

Latest atmospheric river sequence through 8:25 PM. "River" maintaining a remarkably stable track, which is not good news for areas of WA State facing record stream levels and flooding. Some flooding and evacuations in BC's Fraser Valley east of Vancouver as well. #BCwx
