These are the people guiding me on the Taekwondo path. Master Baek is the Headmaster. Then it’s Master Alex and Junior Instructor Takumi.

Fun story: I reenacted the HMMWV scene from Iron Man with an unsuspecting Master Alex…who responded just like the Airman did!

Standing outside the do-jang, waiting for my belt test to begin. I’m going for my red belt, which will then put two belts between me and my black belt in Taekwondo. Call it 15-18 months to go.

I stepped onto the mat in gear for the first time in nine months. I’m still about twenty pounds heavier than the last time I sparred. The only match I finished was a half length match…
