Had the foresight to take some split pea soup out of the freezer. Was perfect post-snow shoveling lunch today, made even better with a healthy layer of gunpowder podi. Got it at Christmas and it’s half gone already. So flavorful. Diaspora’s spices and blends are amazing. 🍽️ #foodsky #cooksky

Saucisse de Nöel. Haven’t made this one in a long while and it’s one of my favorite treats to make at Christmastime. I had the time today so…cranked out a quick 4lb batch. It’s emulsified, with cream and eggs mixed in along with one of my spice blends. Festive and delicious. 🍽️ #foodsky #sausage

In addition to rum, moonshine and peanut butter whiskey, this raccoon at a Virginia liquor store also got into some vodka and eggnog. If you have not tried it, peanut butter whiskey “is excellent,” a PR manager for the store said. The raccoon apparently agreed. trib.al/XurZIQv

If I have to cook a turkey for Thanksgiving (I would prefer duck), I’m going to do what I do and put some flavor into it. Boned and slathered with shio koji seasoned w rosemary, thyme, lavender, sage, shallots, garlic. Will grill it Thurs. Flavor. #foodsky 🍽️
