Exactly my experience. "I do that but I'm not ADHD" over & over. Then I saw a 12-panel cartoon of typical traits & I had 11 of them so decided to pursue a diagnosis. After decades of SSRIs not really working the consultant said "You're depressed because your life's out of control because of ADHD."

And the way the UK defines ADHD, you have lower rates than other countries

The UK has huge multi year waiting lists for ADHD assessments. It's just gaslighting by ADHD illiterate morons, who are arrogant about their ignorance. Or ADHDCloset cases doing psychological projection

My guess is even for people who don't have sensory processing problems it would be a more pleasant or at least less irritating shopping experience.

Hope more store do it. Probably needs a group of people to lobby for it

A grocery store in Vancouver at West 49th ave SaveonFoods has sensory friendly shopping

Every other Thursday between 6 and 8 p.m.

During that time the lights will be dimmed, music muted and the speaker system turned off.

I went in and found it far more relaxing

Health authorities linking spike to medetomidine, a veterinary anesthetic that is among the latest substances being added to the ever-changing street-drug supply. By some estimates, it's up to 200x more potent than xylazine.

Nov surge does not appear to correspond with a similar increase in deaths.

In a couple blocks in Duncan, on Vancouver Island, more than 80 people went down in a 36-hour period, beginning just as the local overdose prevention site and outreach services were closing for the day.

“It was like, oh my God, what is happening here? Everybody’s going down."

If you want safe supply for people who use drugs so they don’t die?

Demand your MLA’s require all docs to have mandatory CME’s courses on ADHD

Most BC docs don’t know how to diagnose ADHD

They’re not going to prescribe ADHD stimulant meds for safe supply if they don’t know ADHD

While Freeman is often more than happy to ignore evidence in favour of her own opinions, whether that be her regular transphobic rants or oft written columns minimising and dismissing ADHD, autism and mental health issues, the evidence for under diagnosis is pretty strong.

An independent taskforce *just* did a huge review of ADHD in England, and the conclusion was that it's "under-recognised, under-diagnosed and under-treated."
