This is a companion piece to Wednesday's discussion of Carney's Davos speech. I deliberately avoided discussing the dollar in that piece. This discusses some of the ways China's RMB is climbing up Shin's ladder of the requirements for a reserve currency.

Yes, the GOP controls Congress. That's why it's key to show Congress COULD stop the madness. And it's not just the DHS bill. Congress could repeal the prior multi-year $75b for DHS; set up a special investigative committee (cf. Watergate); amend the Insurrection Act; etc.

I spent an hour watching today live. I had to disconnect from it for a bit.
Conclusion that's easy to reach is one I reached a long time ago: None of this should be happening, ICE shouldn't in the streets, the military shouldn't be in the streets, and the blame goes right to the White House.
I agree

I remember how I felt after frantically posting right around the time of renee good and - i was a little a little bit afraid to go back and see what the heck I said.

I'm trying to do the opposite.

Whatever is in the Epstein Files is so explosive that the leaders of the Department of Justice are openly breaking the law every day to keep us from seeing it. (Just a reminder amongst all the other stuff flying around.)

MN Doctor: I learned that Renee Good still had a pulse 8 minutes after she was shot by an ICE agent. Yet the offer to administer aid from a physician on the scene was denied. I can't say how much that stirs the blood of everyone here as we try to fulfill our oath to care for the people of Minnesota

The last piece of land the US bought from the Danish was Little St. James island.

Better known these days as Epstein Island.

Read this story and decide if this is the America you want to live in.

ICE saw a Latino man driving a car. Chased him down and rammed him. Just because he wasn’t white.

He was just a guy - an American citizen - driving to the auto shop.

Trump’s savvy decision to have an ICE officer publicly execute a protester could pay big political dividends by distracting the country from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and the nation’s weak economy.

Why is a NYS police officer parked illegally in the 10th Ave. bike lane where federal DEA jackboots always park? And why does he have a plate cover? And why is he such a reckless driver? Lots of questions. I'll get answers on Monday. But it's outrageous if NYS is loaning officers to DEA.
