just add a mech character to the roster as "dlc" and start the narrative there

after everything has been established with how this is a choice made out of deeper reasons than to kill, and how players are much the same in not just playing to beat down their opponent, *then* we can talk about the glorification of violence and the historical cycles which perpetuate it

they didn't sign up for the army and go through torture to bomb civilians, they learnt an outdated martial art that suited their tastes, expressed their culture, and made them feel alive. and they went on a personal journey in the process, because they wanted to.

and honestly conveys disdain for something deeper, the cultures of combat and their history which inspire fighting games
