I make stuff that makes noises, I make songs that make use of those noises, I play noises for the cat, the cat doesn’t love the noises. Perennial lurker.

We in Weaklung are developing food delivery robot dismantling merch (free!) soon. We are working on the design currently.
I came across *the* example I have been hammering with these food delivery robots.

A man with a mobility aid is forced to step aside because there is not room for him because the robot will not make room for a person (esp. those with a mobility aid who need addditional room)

A massive problem today is the uneven distribution of shame. Some of us are running dedicated on-site shame servers 24/7 while others have no access to shame at all, even though they desperately need it. What we need to do is put shame in the cloud

In addition to the below, here are a couple of other nice options for your Bandcamp Friday pennies, from pals and peers and generally decent sorts.
Your pals in Weaklung have new shirts for sale this #bandcampfriday. Please enjoy our bootleg Itchy design. Printed locally here in Chicago. S-XL

They will start shipping next week

I first saw Foxing in 2013 or so and I felt like the oldest person in the room THEN. Oh boy.

“I’m at the antepenultimate Foxing show” is a sentence I never thought I’d speak or type, but to be fair when you have limited imagination most sentences are ones you never think you’d say.

Andersonville to Pilsen by bike in <55 mins, try doing that in a car in less time at rush hour. And half the bike lanes on Elston and Halsted were impassable due to snow. I’m not so much a hardcore cyclist as I am a spiteful one.

I know bandcamp ain’t perfect, but at least I know the artist is getting actual whole-number payouts from my purchases.
📈 Here's how much money Los Camp! make from streaming...

On the occasion of #SpotifyWrapped, we thought now would be a good time to share some cold, hard stats about how much money our band makes from streaming royalties.

Aw man. Good fucking musician. Seemed like a nice guy too. Nice enough to sign my copy of the Blues Brothers soundtrack album at least. And an absolute unit of a human being.

spotify wrapped? more like “spotify warped music and devalued labor while paying those who made the songs you love fractions of pennies,” thank you

Hey if you’re a two wheel person on the north side of Chicago you should give your money to Broadway Bikes for their goods and services. They are extremely chill and do very good work and being a largely femme/non-binary staff they don’t come on all snobby when you say “I don’t know much about this“

I won’t send a voice memo because absolutely not, but Advance Base’s The One About The Rabbit In The Snow repeatedly destroyed me from December last year to March this year. advancebase.bandcamp.com/track/the-on...

Do what you gotta do to dismantle the military-industrial complex, for sure, but please let us keep army surplus stores. I’m never as satisfied with overcoats bought from anywhere else.

Love that this mentions the Twin Peaks theme. I just to riff on that at the end of a Lucky Witch & The Righteous Ghost song and it was always my favourite part of the set. Bass VIs IVever.

Yeah yeah what’s up I stopped looking at Bluesky for a few weeks and my brain still doesn’t feel better and winter is coming and it’s dark and gloomy so I’m back here to wallow with the rest of you. For now.

Learning the bassline to Waterfall was one of those musician lightbulb moments of “fuck, it’s that simple and sounds that good? I’m overthinking this shit”
