Off-topic; I thought I had my GOTYs all figured out, but (finally) reached Metal Eden. It's a blast and @reikon-games.bsky.social's anime-inspired cyberpunk art is as striking in first person as it was top-down in RUINER.

Off-topic; Only now noticed one of my GOTY candidates, Shadow Labyrinth, got a massive update. It also adds an easy difficulty.
I liked the way difficulty was, but if you don't like getting pummeled being an exploration motivator in a Metroidvania, now you can give it a go, too.
