Pencil Mark's
@pencilmarks.bsky.social
Artist, Creator, writer of things, wrote some cartoon shows in a past life.
Many portraits to show, some have a social point.

Come step into my mind and see what happens when an artist bites the big one.
Silence isn't as golden as they say it is.
As much as I like Propstore it breaks my heart to see iconic costumes, props and art up for sale. They should be in museums not held in a private collection that never sees the light of day.
Bought the book at auction to protect it. Once owned by Olivia de Havilland. Signed by Ruth Gordon.

We may get a free plaster but even then it's a wad of cotton wool with some surgical tape.

In the UK we get a single biscuit and maybe a cup of tea.
Got a feeling we're getting the short end of the stick again.

(sings) I can do anything better than you, no you can't, yes I can...

It's no doubt been mentioned before but all these billionaires and not one of them aims to be Batman, they're all modelling themselves on Rupert Thorne or Lex Luthor

Instead of proclaiming them as rich, start calling them greedy

Nope, I can't see a connection with that scene from Deliverance.

He looks like he knows someone has farted and doesn't know who until he realizes it's him and it wasn't just gas.

Here in the UK a trump is a loud, explosive fart. We usually ask "Have you just trumped?"
Surprised it's not as well known in USA, it needs to be.

Possibly The Witchfinder General (Vincent Price) This is about Matthew Hopkins and John Sterne's rise to power. They were mass murderers and their evil around Essex (UK) led to Salem's witch trials.
He was an orator who used people and fear to gain power much like those in politics today.

The hippies had the attitude the world should have now. I will always respect that image of a flower in a gun barrel.
It feels like there was a party that started in the late 1950's, got into full steam in the 1970's and 80's and the died in the 1990's and we've never got it back.
70's had Studio 54

I once met Peter at a convention in the UK, he had his Oscar with him, he was on a table with Alan Tomkins. No one else was there so we just talked movies. He let me hold his Oscar and actually bought a Christmas card from me for an actor he said I knew but he wouldn't reveal his name.
Lovely man.

The way I see this is I've taught myself how to draw over the 53 years I've been alive and I'm not about to let ANYONE, human or computer take it away from me and make me feel worthless.

On the potential of using it in films, I'll just watch the films from the past and walk away from this future.

James Bond is a fictional name given to agents who give up their own identity and status when the last Bond one retires. They have been keeping the legend alive since the 1960's to confuse and scare Spectre and their agents.

Met a lot of the Bond cast from 60's-80's, some are friends.

The ear. Wasn't that the ear that was hit and bled? Where's the scar?

Also, I think I painted a fence that colour last summer.

Quite a few of the originals have a three dimensional quality. Never been able to capture that in scans or Giclée prints but that's what makes original hand drawn artwork so special.
The masters of light and dark were the people who created silent and golden age films. Anything pre-code.

I believe Herman Melville wrote a book about it although I also believe he thinks Moby Dick is an STD

Just as long as there's no Burt Reynolds style centrefold.
