1) the requirements for deterrence can be defined and attained in a short time
2) the expenditures for these requirements will be cheap and not hurt other absolutely essential spending, notably...

Why a deal between Putin and Trump most likely isn't around the corner writes @samagreene.bsky.social. Main point for us in my view: get over the shock and take on an active role!
But Putin is also betting that the Europeans and the Ukrainians will be shell-shocked into abandoning their own agency in all of this. That’s where Putin ought to be wrong.

The new Security Radar came out today! People see the need for more investment in security, but are sensitive to social spending as well. Resilience means to balance both: getting enought ressource to boost military strenght and keep social justice! Read more here: peace.fes.de/security-rad...

Important point to keep in mind
As @baklitskiy.bsky.social noted, if it was a true ICBM, Russia had to provide a launch notification notice to the US 24 hours in advance. But probably not to China, since the missile was not launched in its direction. 7/7
