In my house, this is called Mama X’s Rule of Relationship Reciprocality because of the time Mama X unsuccessfully advised her daughter against marrying a man who left his wife for her, and 7 years later Daughter X’s young son described being left to stay in the car while daddy visits his girlfriend

The hobbies are pretty likely to be, especially if you pick something rustic. And they are one of the best ways of finding more friends of all ages. So, solid advice.
