All you need is peace, love, and unix. SRE architect by day, knitter by night. “Liberal” in the US is not liberal enough. Be kind instead of nice.

SNAP is not the reason your taxes are high.

SNAP recipients don’t need to “just go get a job”.

Most of them work. The rest are disabled, elderly, children or caregivers.

People need & deserve assistance

Your taxes fund wars and tax cuts for the ultra rich

Be mad about that

@dieworkwear.bsky.social I don't know if you've seen this photo (from The Independent), showing the investigative team for the Louvre jewelry heist. Many of my friends are swooning over the style of the detective on the right and are clamoring for your analysis.

there's a weird feedback loop where the media's reaction to kirk's death pushes you to speak more ill of the dead than you otherwise would because it's the only reasonable response to the simpering praise they're heaping on him

I did JROTC in high school, and you can get 14-year-olds to march more in sync than this with an off-color marching song and an hour’s practice. This is malicious compliance.

It is 100% carrying water for the opposition to participate in this collective delusion that Dems for some reason need to answer for every teen who throws a rock rather than hold the Trump admin accountable for intentionally creating chaos and breaking the law to stoke violence.

They are in charge.

this was one of the more bizarre arguments during COVID, where people were claiming it was "mostly old people" dying
The deeper meaning behind "almost no healthy children die of the measles" is that, when children do die of the measles, it's only ever because they were already ill. And the deeper meaning behind that is "well, we can't save 'em all." And that's just...17th century thinking.

American women couldn't get a mortgage, a bank account, or a business loan in their own name until 1974.
Single + married women had no right to birth control until 1971.
Entire generations of women were lost because they didn't have the legal right to control their own money or their own body.
