Just about everything else has been running fine so far, but I haven't tested with any hard hitters yet

couple things I've noticed up until now:
- definitely doing more stuff with console commands than most people would feel comfortable (as in, more than none)

All I can piece together from what I caught of the zeitgeist surrounding the last couple games was the recurring joke that "this is the one where she becomes the Tomb Raider" and I think I'll stick with that level if knowledge

first we had months of "person who plays their first JRPG proclaims it to be the apex of the genre, unironically does the associated 'unlike other mecha'" and now we get the backlash version of that with people calling the devs colonizers with varying levels of irony

even if I could I wouldn't but that shit starts at like 2 AM for me and I'm an old man so I don't like fucking with my sleep schedule even if it involves doing things I enjoy, and the Keighleys don't belong in that category

and chests have become a bit of a meme with the community because you get swamped with duplicates, which are getting converted into small amount of gems anyway

for context: the highest tier for cosmetics costs 5000 gems a piece (nevermind that the shop only has one of them on display a day) and since you can't buy heroes with them anymore that's all you can use them for

though this is me just talking about what I saw until a couple hours into Act 2 because I had weird performance problems and that shit ain't fun to deal with when the game expects me to hit those parries

honestly in terms of narrative I'm moreso thinking xenoblade 3

- there's an arbitrary limit to how many years you get to live
- some people are exempt and are stopping the party from disrupting this order
- a funny merchant race
