do you recall the original Max Headroom?

"That is a complete person. In that machine is the coded mind of the dead Mr Carter. I will soon be able to reconstruct anybody on a screen."

"You might call it the Phoenix Mr Bryce. My word. You could have all your politicians in little boxes. Very handy."

they appear to be playing it like a video game.

does anyone remember Clear and Present Danger, and is having premonitions of deja vu?

likely true. when does the UK realise it is not a meeting of equals when it comes to the EU? give the UK - a non EU nation - privileged or cheaper access to EU programmes... India. Australia. Canada. frankly, everyone... will be lining up for the same deal.

dear UK. you left the EU. suck it up.

...it didn't disappoint. this was the first result.

interestingly, the first espresso machine arrived in 1928 and installed by Rinaldo Massoni at Café Florentino. post WW2, it remains an argument...

however, Florentino, Pellegrini's, and Universita Cafe all still exist, and all remain excellent.

go there and take an espresso walk down Lygon St!

i am barefoot in the apartment. sitting here, my feet rest on one of the underfloor heating pipes. it's glorious!

i walk in very specific paths as well.

imagine some kitties... they'd all be on the floor sleeping in straight lines on the pipes!

TiL that Freedom Williams - of C&C Music Factory fame

worked as a janitor at NY Quad Recording Studios. Robert Clivillés and David Cole frequently used this studio. Clivillés and Cole (the C&C) heard and liked Williams' baritone timbre and rhythmic flow.

funny, the university i went to appears to think that it is quite a professional role!

but, if decisions are being made by morons... what the very hell got them to even start considering this? is this some kind of RFK generated nonsense again?
November 24, 2025 at 2:21 PM
that must be a major shock to my university, where i believe they do actually graduate some extremely skilled and knowledgeable nurses each year with professional degrees.

their role in care is incredibly important.
