In 2026 the EU in combination with Ukraine will equal the level of artillery shell production with Russia. NATO apparently now produces more ammunition than Russia, although I would guess a significant part is the US. So that no longer counts for much under Trump.

Somehow the talk is about how well Mamdani did in his meeting with Trump . There is a war raging on the fringes of Eastern Europe and a US president thinks it's ok to capitulate,to give up land and by that process cut Ukrainian forces by 50%, while offering Russia future conscripts from seized land

I feel bad for Ukrainians. But I feel worse for what will come for future generations in Western Europe also. Trump is really weak though, so it can be expected that his full capitulation to Putin. It would make sense to please his owners before the epstein files land. No surprise

Billionaires should not be allowed anywhere near political positions. I think most of Europe can see why and likely 50% of the US. Corruption at that level of wealth can afford to have no shame. They do not lose extreme wealth when they retire from politics, even if they cause irrepairable damage.

Is the US any better right now with Trump's plans to pile investment into Russia? Russia is an imminent threat and Trump is doing his best to destabilise European security. We have to trade and seek reliable partners surely. We should follow deals that suit the UK not Trump.
