'Chinese firms dominate almost every legal industry they've entered. Now they're taking over one of the world’s biggest illicit industries—the international money-laundering networks that facilitate crimes from drug smuggling to cryptocurrency theft by N. Korean hackers.'

UK Hospitality's disingenuous reaction to a charge that has been almost universally adopted by tourist destinations across Europe, without any negative consequences, has been absurd. I doubt that it will deter a single tourist who wants to experience London and can't do so by going anywhere else.

I think what Simon Clarke is trying to say is that the country never had it so good under 14 years of Conservative rule. Then voters idiotically kicked them out and now the public have to come to their senses and put the Tories back in power to do exactly what they were doing before.

Simon Clarke decries the imposition of a sugar tax on smoothies because it's "the nanny state" and he believes in FREEEDOM!! The sort of anti-regulation ideology that resulted in Grenfell.

Lest we forget... Tory idiot, now Reform UK idiot, Tim Montgomerie, praised notorious anti-Semite Victor Orban's "interesting early thinking on the limits of liberalism".

Tim continues to be a regular guest on various BBC current affairs programmes where no one ever asks him about about Orban.

No Bakerloo extension, no West London Orbital but better than nothing. I assume you're putting a brave face on it; after the GE you must have thought we would get all 3. But my main concern is Crossrail 2 which you seem to have given up on completely, despite the unparalleled success of Crossrail 1.

"Had the lockdown been imposed one week earlier than the 23rd of March, the evidence suggests that the number of deaths in England alone, in the first wave, would have been reduced by 48%. That is approximately 23,000 fewer deaths." — Baroness Hallett

Uh-huh.

'[Lord] Stewart Jackson claimed more than £66,000 for his family home, including hundreds of pounds on his swimming pool. He switched his second home allowance to the £470K property in his constituency when he bought it in 2005.' (May 2009)

2½ years after its full launch, Crossrail – 70% paid for by Londoners – is already the busiest line IN THE UK. Around 35% of today’s UK rail network – over 800 stations – would have a direct service to a station served by Crossrail 2. Both London and the North need investment. It's not an either/or.

'The mum-of-five has risen to prominence after performing at Tommy Robinson’s Unite The Kingdom rally in September as Missuskent.'

What a surprise. Not. Every "concerned citizen" who attended that rally was complicit in racism and the promotion of hatred – including the more presentable types.

I sometimes wonder if Epstein is distracting everyone from where the real bodies are buried, in Russia.
