Oh, ok. The PASP paper is here:

iopscience.iop.org/article/10.1...

The authors do say that multiple explanations are possible, and address plate defects further. They’re not saying that all transients in the database must be anomalous, but that some are harder to explain, like ones in alignments.

The authors *did* address at least some of the criticisms of Hambly & Blair in the second PASP paper and even listed their paper in the references section.

I love these creatures, the blue-footed booby (Sula nebouxii). 😊

This is an interesting art piece in Coal Harbour, on the edge of downtown here in Vancouver, called Aerodynamic Forms in Space. 🚀✈️

Another interesting Mars rock that the Perseverance rover saw on August 5, 2025 (Martian sol 1585). Kind of looks like a dumbo octopus or a helmet. And it's covered in many small spherical nodules. Concretions? 😉🐙🪖

Some interesting rocks that the #Curiosity rover recently came across on #Mars, on June 13, 2025. They are on a mountain slope in the distance. Honeycomb-like textures that kind of look like snakeskin. 😉🤔

A Blouberg white wine. I haven’t found very many kinds near me yet, but I had tried it before and liked it. I really like your show, too. I’ve always loved both South African culture and jazz, but wasn’t too familiar with their jazz scene before, so it’s a great combination! 🙂

Met this sweet little guy today. 😊🐶

Some interesting little oval “rings” in this rock in recent images from the Curiosity rover on Mars. Seen after the dust was brushed off, sol 4458. Rings are about 1 mm in size. 🤔🤷‍♂️

Oh lord, Trump fancies himself to be a king. From the official WH account on Instagram, and elsewhere. And that stupid smirk … 😒🤦‍♂️🙄
February 20, 2025 at 2:53 AM
On top of everything else, now Trump says this. Chilling. And Vance also said that “judges aren’t allowed to control Trump’s ‘legitimate power.’” 😠

New article in Scientific American about the drone wave over New Jersey. Yes, some people seem to be misidentifying and filming other aircraft, but … #drones #NewJersey

Look at these really thin vertical plates of rock seen recently by the Curiosity rover on Mars (Nov. 30, sol 4379). Erosion by winds in thin atmosphere and weaker gravity than Earth. 😮 Color image processed by @kevinmgill.bsky.social.

Some interesting surface textures on this rock seen by the Curiosity rover on Mars on Dec. 3 (sol 4382). 🤔 A lot more images here, starting on page 10:

I try not to get too conspiratorial about UAP, but this photo of DoD spokesperson Susan Gough watching AARO director Jon Kosloski at the Senate hearing yesterday is really something. 😬🙄 Her background includes military deception and psychological operations.

Enhanced color image from of some interesting green spots found in rocks by the Perseverance rover on Mars. They might be formed by chemical reactions with water that create reduced iron. On Earth, it can sometimes involve microbes. 🤔

The Perseverance rover on Mars just came across more rocks with the interesting purplish coating on them, similar to desert varnish on Earth. On one rock it’s thicker than usual and cracked similar to dried mud. 🤔
