Can he still hit all the high notes?

Forgot to post this. The Kool in the Kaftan is in a pop up sleeve

He keeps saying he is…

Think I’m gonna have to take all these LP mailers to the tip. Seems a shame when they could be reused. But the people who initially said they want them, don’t seem to be bothered about arranging to pick them up.

Didn’t realise it was your birthday today…er, yesterday. So let me be the first to wish you a happy birthday for next year.

I was just about to table a bid!

Is that the Australian promo?? If so, please lie and say it cost you £50.

It’s on my wants list, but very difficult to get hold of in the UK.

Suede will be in my top 5. I think it’s their best album since the 90s

Okay, tooth’s settled down now, so I’m not giving these up

But what about all those lovely new sleeves I’ve got. Somewhere between 50 and 60 that I didn’t have. But right now I’d trade them all to be able to eat this yummy second day pasta bake without making my infected back tooth feel like it’s wired to the mains. And that’s despite the hefty painkillers

The Mogwai album is excellent isn’t it. Their soundtrack for The Bombing of Pan Am 103 is also brilliant.

#5albums25

Not sure what the other 4 albums in my top 5 for 2025 will be, but F.L.A.W by Napoleon da Legend & Giallo Point will be in the top 1!

If you like rap/hip hop, MF DOOM or, especially, Gang Starr/Guru, give this one a listen and you won’t regret it.

The orange one’s post is absolutely disgusting, but I’d expect nothing more from such a vile man.

Reiner’s films and his acting in things like Curb Your Enthusiasm gave me a great deal of pleasure, and includes my absolute favourite film, The Princess Bride. It is such sad news.

Trick is, switch the singles and sleeves, as most singles in bargain bins are in random sleeves anyway. So any singles I know I have plenty of spares go into sleeves I need.

I usually have a pile of random rubbish singles that have come out of bargain bucket sleeves waiting to go to a charity shop

I’m about 12 records into replacing my New Order 12” singles that I foolishly flogged in the 90s…sigh…but of those 4 I’ve so far only got 1. It is, however, one of my 3 favourite 12” singles ever - Thieves Like Us, Suburbia (The Full Horror) and Two Tribes (Annihilation)

I certainly don’t. I went through the pain barrier after 25 minutes. Last time I was looking for any decent records and then company sleeves for singles I owned. This time it’s the same, plus any company sleeves I don’t have a copy of. So my homework before I go is recognising which variants I need.

Thanks Richard. My late swap of Lennon for Kraftwerk sees all 5 of mine go through for the first time ever.

His daughter dragged him shopping, so he missed our comeback yesterday afternoon

The last time I was there I was in there for 4 hours! They gave me a chair, offered me the use of the staff toilet and offered to mind my stash if I wanted to nip out for lunch. So I hope Jimmy knows what he’s let himself in for!

Me and Jimmy are off up to Vinyl Tap’s bargain bin next week. I’m after sleeves as much as records. I need to get my list written, so I know what I’m looking for.

I’ve had some really good records and some ridiculous ones from Discogs this week. Makes me wonder why some call clearly damaged LPs NM
