No!!

Certainly not a claim examined in anything I’ve looked at (FT, Guardian)

Ridiculous nonsense, which I suspect was achieved by squinting at or mischievous extrapolation of gap year or holidaymaker stats, etc #r4today

Badgering Rachel Reeves in an all too familiar ‘denial of service attack’ style interview technique #r4today presenters have mastered when interviewing anyone from the Left.

Painfully bad radio Mr Robinson!

Listening to Michael Prescott at the Select Committee asking why for balance the BBC hadn’t also included a Karmala Harris doc alongside the critical Trump program just shows the BBC still believes impartiality is achieved by giving equal credence to both sides over the facts if the matter #r4today

But Packham shouldn’t take so personally the environmental argument failures.

The BBC has a lot to answer for the years of presenting environmentalism as a fringe issue

… & climate change as an endless debate between environmentalists & ‘realists’ #r4today

I’m well aware of the need to change (& the need to stop driving unless you genuinely have no choice)

But not everyone thinks that way. & government preference remains personal choice, coupled with ‘incentives’

Therefore the attraction of switching has to remain cost incentive, no? #r4today

Used to live SWLondon & cycled mostly; clocked 1000mpa in a car. Today it’s >6000mpa

With recharging charges & VED changes, I’d now face an extra £180 in tax

Still lower than the circa £300pa in my petrol burner, but still less incentive to switch now! #r4today

Quite - I assume you are talking country travel? If so how many extra hours would it have taken either of you to get to work / shops / the station?

Hmmmm - All in favour of road pricing. Just not as a measure reserved for EVs alone. Why not introduce for fuel burners too?

Because, do we want those who are going to continue to drive to switch to electric? If so then EVs must be a considerably better option. It looks less that way tonight #bbcpm
