Yep. There is a tension between belonging and critical thinking, and it's pointless to reason with those who cranked the dial all the way up on tribalism. They have accepted blindness as the cost of belonging in their cult, and they'll only ever see your facts and reasoning as threats.

You're not wrong, but in Biden's case, there was no glaring corruption or calls to execute his political opponents or mass firings of inspectors general or other egregious threats to democracy and the rule of law. Trump's mental decline just gets overwhelmed by all those other things.
