This week in the Hudson Compound started with the tragic passing of my friend Dave Bauge, so Sunday was filled with Dylan's Biograph. The rest of the week included a ton of new records, most notably those great garage-y power pop albums by The Prize and Loose Lips. And quite a few old faves.

This week's plays in the Hudson Compound are dominated by two great events. First off, due to my buddy @jeremyportermusic hitting town I played all the vinyl I bought from him. And last Sunday featured a record swap where I bought a bunch of records by The Cynics and The Men!

The Hudson Compound was in retro mode this week, with a ton of old classics. With the 60th anniversary of Highway 61, I not only played the original album but the session tapes collected on that great Bootleg Series comp.

This week in the Hudson Compound I included a handful of new releases (Peppermint Kicks, Dogmatics, Kowalskis), some new reissues (Vertebrats, Talking Heads), and quite a few old faves. And due to a fantastic documentary on the Sonics, I just had to blast their first two albums!

I’m always so appreciative of the artists and labels who support The Ledge. In the past @bigstirrecords has provided me with pretty much everything they’ve released in digital form. So imagine my smile when this thick box appeared in my mailbox with physical copies of their latest batch.
