The impacts were highlighted by @charlesarthur.bsky.social in a recent newsletter. All because the ICC’s issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant for war crimes. 2/2

Quite looking forward to this. The author James Grady is introducing the film. A friend once said that they didn't believe anyone could fall in love over three days, and I said if they looked and talked like Redford I'm pretty sure you could (or Fay Dunaway for that matter) #ThreeDaysOfTheCondor

All this has happened before and will happen again.

Looking at the tons of ads in the Financial Times weekend magazine (which has jumped from 60 to 80 or 100 pages) I can't tell if this is an indication that the rich are doing really well and have money to burn or that luxury products are having to advertise more in the face of declining interest?

One of the stunning things when you catch up with the news a few days later, is how wrong first impressions are. Such as this headline saying “Democrats are in disarray after defectors surrender over US federal shutdown” when Schumer knew and approved of it all along.

Quite looking forward to this. #ShakespeareTheaterDC #TheWildDuck #Isben

Christopher Weyant - cagle.com/weyant I actually think it will take longer, as there will be a lot of damage that needs to be fixed first. And a lot of prosecutions for illegal activity need to be done.

Lots of Trump cartoons this morning, I think this is my favorite.

I also saw Godzilla coffee that I was half tempted to get as I assumed it had enough caffeine in it to recharge Godzilla or wake the dead (tired). 🙂

They were right, the camera does make you look taller than in real life....

It’s not a book about our current future but it does seem spot on.

One of the nice little touches about Japanese airports if that they have the equivalent of a toddler high chair on the restrooms so you can do what you need to do without letting the kid crawl on the floor. And it's on the men's restrooms too!

I cannot tell you how tempting it is to get Godzilla coffee.

Hiroshima is so excited about local boy made good saving the Dodgers that they are advertising his appearance at a local Carp game a month out at the local theater ($45 to go and it includes food if I understood correctly). #baseball

Currently in Japan and I wonder if Americans know just how badly and run down their infrastructure looks compared to other countries. I mean, the high speed trains have been running 40 years and look new, I haven't seen a pot hole the entire time I've been here and bikes are everywhere.

I think these photos make it clear where I am, but the hypocenter marker I found by accident taking a short cut to Peace Park was discreetly tucked in a corner. You would hardly know it was there (in fact I'd already walked past it 5 times before I noticed it).

Despite all the construction going on, I haven't seen a single pothole the entire time I've been here. Unlike in DC metro area where you can't go 5 ft without hitting one.

Plus most of the side walks are really for the bikes, so they have a great balance between public transport, walking & cars.

The lunch box, was pretty delicious and also I have no idea what I was eating (probably for the best) but the presentation is like something out of Iron Chef. Everything is carefully presented and made out of cardboard or paper so its easily recycled.

Still quite moving being at Hiroshima

Sometimes I wonder at how some ingredients translate, such as "natural coco yogurt taste"

Rainy day in Hiroshima but I think we'll find something to do before the conference starts tomorrow. When the weather improves that's a great view from the hotel room.
