Megyn Kelly redefining "children" could be a clue.

Matt Gaetz must be like, where were are the child redefiners when I was paying homeless underage girls for sexual favors

Aww, shucks, thanks, @ollibackstrom.bsky.social
Well fuck, as I suspected @pauldlockhart.bsky.social book with similar subject and similar name isn't mentioned in the bibliography at all. Douche move.

(Lockhart btw is a doyen in the field of Denmark and the Thirty Years War 1618-1648.)

Interesting exhibition on Renaissance enamels. 👇

🔎 Did you know that in French the common expression "se faire limoger" literally means to fire someone and send him/her someone to the town of Limoges?

I know Veterans Day has passed but I found this photo of my dad. That’s him on the right, reading a newspaper with a friend on the bridge of the USS OBERON (Arcturus-class attack cargo ship), somewhere in the Philippines, 1945.

Current employer has: reduced our faculty senate to a purely advisory role, stripped humanities and science disciplines of support, & appears to be considering imminent faculty layoffs despite a more-than-favorable budget. Appropriate that this should appear in my inbox this morning. #AcademicSky

What an absolute pleasure it was to speak for the Mary Queen of Scots Society about one of my favourite topics: the clothing of Mary Queen of Scots. Her wardrobe tells such a fascinating story of power and identity.

Slander. From Peder Hegelund’s CALUMNIA (1576)
I’m getting ideas for Halloween next year, although I’m not sure where I can get all the eyes and tongues necessary for the costume.

Happy 483rd to my man Anders Sørensen Vedel, born this day in 1542. I think I've read everything he published; it'd be kinda nice if he'd manifest some species of appreciation for that. Sigh. #skystorians #earlymodern

Academia dot edu offered to create an "AI generated descriptive analogy" of my book DENMARK, 1513-1660. Not ordinarily my cup of tea but I thought wtf, why not. Here's the result. Ugh. #skystorians

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"
