A seemingly double-leaf window reveals the treetops of the edge of a mixed forest, lit by the low morning sun. Two conifers of different sizes are flanked by beeches clad in gold, orange and yellow. Light gray lichens have taken root on sturdy side branches. Green foliage is also visible. A patch of white-grey sky can be seen. In reality, the window is only a single-leaf window, opened just enough for its reflection to appear as part of a second leaf. The bottom edge of the picture looks as if black velvet has been draped in waves beneath the window, but it's a down sleeping bag with a black polyester outer layer. I needed it to fix the window perpendicular to the frame. The window frame is white and not glossy black! Thanks to an exposure time of 1/200 s and an aperture of 1/16, everything appears dark except for the sunny forest. Therefore, the window is framed by darkness.

Here's last night’s view of the #BeaverMoon from my window. Must have been a ruffled beaver in my case as the moon is totally blurry, but I like the little plane passing by from the upper left side towards the lower right side, the moon’s halo & the light clouds that look like someone has painted light soft stripes across the sky. You can see some stars too. In the foreground there are some leafy trees with yellow-red-brown autumn colored leaves giving a warm contrast to the cool blue night sky.
