follow at your own risk. I'm far left, & a contrarian, and I don't curate my opinions to attract followers -- I just express them.. And for those who accuse me of being a Trump supporter, etc, read this https://www.salon.com/2004/09/09/bush_guard_duty
oh, so first you were telling us about some "paper" that was written back in the 1990s that you couldn't link to...(hint -- there were computers, and even an internet, in the 90s)

now, you're telling us you are a fact witness...

I don't think I'm the one gaslighting here....

the tell is that all 50 of these white males will tell you that being white and male is why they didn't get the job -- even though at least 49 of them wouldn't have gotten the job regardless of who was hired.

I was able to get only half way through it, before all I could think was "to the privileged, equality feels like oppression".

the I looked at what Compact was offering elsewhere, and here is what I found..

yup. Of their five featured columnists, 4 white men (one Hispanic/white), + 1 white woman.

gotta love how he throws in the "unmarried" bit there, as if his lack of success with women was somehow connected to the supposed employment discrimination he faced....
December 19, 2025 at 2:28 PM
white men make up less than 30% of Americans, but 32.4% (11 of 34) of UC Irvine's Humanities faculty.

In other words, they are STILL over-represented....but of course, racists like you want to ignore how systemic discrimination STILL advantages white males.

if the research was real, it would have been reproduced on-line somewhere.

I mean, that's how racism works in this country -- "data" that "confirms" racist assumptions always finds its way into the mainstream.

Murc law is Blue MAGA bullshit.

understanding how the failure of Democrats have brought us to the current state of affairs does not, in any way, excuse GOP behavior.

It is, instead, a recognition that if we had better Democratic leadership, we wouldn't be in the mess we are now.

2/ Archives found a few in some boxes Trump returned.

Are we REALLY supposed to believe that literally thousands of pages of highly classified material just disappeared into the Trump's East Wing residence that were never recovered -- and no one alerted anyone in the Biden White House?

REALLY?
December 19, 2025 at 1:57 AM
1/ Biden chose Garland because he knew Garland would slow walk any investigation of Trump to an absolute crawl in order to "ensure that DoJ is not politicized".

I'm constantly amazed that people think no one in the White House was aware that Trump had stolen classified documents until the National

different case -- Cannon was hearing the documents case.

But yes, Smith SHOULD have prosecuted that case in DC, because
A) that is where the theft of documents took place
B) it was in front of a DC grand jury that Trump's asscoiates committed perjury/obstruction as part of the conspiracy.

I just saw that Flores-Ruiz was deported in November? Did Dugan's attorney's agree to this? Because it seems to me that, at the very least, they would have wanted the option to present him as a witness for the defense (despite his not speaking English).

oh, and not just ANY Jeffrey Epstein associate. One who actually supports Larry Summers' (another good bud of the dead pedophile) misogynistic assertions about women's intellectual capacities. Oh, and he's one of those "I'm cool with neo-nazis, because the left goes too far sometimes" types

Weiss' first town hall was a failure -- only 1.87M viewers overall, and only 265K in the coveted 25-54 age group

Lady Gaga drew 2.5 million people to a free concert in Brazil -- the vast majority of whom were in that 25-54 age group.

And those Gaga attendees had to get off the couch to do so.
December 18, 2025 at 2:39 PM
I didn't (just couldn't) watch.

Was there a Dem party response? If not, why aren't the Dems demanding one -- and letting Andy Kim (or Jasmine Crockett) deliver it?
December 18, 2025 at 2:32 PM
I don't blame you.

I blame her. And Biden, for foisting her on us. And the Dem establishment, for dumping Biden on us.
December 18, 2025 at 2:27 PM
I didn;t watch the speech (bad for my blood pressure)....was there a Democratic response?
December 18, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Trump keeps saying its all Biden's fault -- and where is the response from Biden calling him out for being a liar?

Where is the response from Harris? Or Schumer, or Jeffries, using the words "A GODDAMN PATHOLOGICAL LIAR"

because THAT is what the nation needs to hear...
December 18, 2025 at 3:02 AM
that's all the defense said they would need.

And given that the government's case is all but non-existent, they shouldn't need to do much ... except enter a motion to dismiss based on the lack of a case by the government.
December 18, 2025 at 12:16 AM
wow. A CNN chyron that says flat out that Trump's comments were racist.

You need to point out that kind of good stuff when it happens, because CNN gets crucified when it does something bad....
December 17, 2025 at 5:39 PM
and you obviously don't understand the distinction between what is "just" and what is legal.
December 17, 2025 at 5:36 PM
no. they are NOT nazi platforms (except twitter). They are simply following the path of least resistance in order to fulfill their FIDUCIARY RESPONSIBILITIES -- they are required BY LAW to act in the interests of their stockholders, and when there is no downside to caving to Nazis, they cave.
December 17, 2025 at 5:35 PM
you're claiming that the left's position on Mangione, and the right's position on Rittenhouse, are the same.

That is a false equivalence -- because its not true.

The left acknowledges it was murder. The right doesn't.
December 17, 2025 at 5:31 PM
"should" walk, as in "legally entitled to walk"?

because no one I know think that Magione didn't commit murder -- they may consider him a folk hero of sorts, but they still believe in the rule of law.

But everyone I know who defended Rittenhouse claimed he was acting in self defense.
December 17, 2025 at 5:26 PM
The left is saying that Mangione committed murder.

The right is claiming that Rittenhouse did not commit murder.

That is the crucial difference. The left is NOT saying that Mangione should be allowed to walk because he killed the right person.

So stop with your bullshit false equivalence.

2/ that there will be consequences if they allow the unimpeded spread of hate, disinformation, and lies, those platforms will begin acting responsibly.

But when there is no upside to acting responsibly, and no consequences for spreading lies and hate, guess what profit making companies will do?
