Took a few days to get decent light. I designed this little retro pitcher vase as a present for my wife. It’s designed to complement the bottle vase I made for the in-laws.

They executed a precision surgical strike to bring back a Venezuelan Maduro, but what We the People really want are Cuban Maduros.

Oh my God, with all the robotic dismemberment in pop culture, why is it so hard to find a GIF of a robot being dismembered?!

I did find this gem, though. 🤷‍♂️😂

So much for stopping wars and reducing illegal immigration. El Cheeto wants to turn us into Russia.

Photo 4: from “Arms and Armor of the Medieval Knight” by David Edge and Miles Paddock, Crescent Books, 1988, p. 69.

A basinet (or bascinet, but not bassinet) is a type of fighting helmet popular during the 14th c. Hounskull” is a reference to the visor’s from, thought to resemble a dog’s head. 🤷‍♂️

Took a break from sci fi models to combine the ancient art of armoring with the very modern medium of 3D modeling to create this take on a 14th c basinet and hounskull visor. Still in progress. The half scale test print fits the cat. Last pic is the reference piece, ca. 1370. Source in comments.

Don’t feel guilty. Uncle Elmer knew it was his destiny, and he met it with a cocky grin. 😂

My in-laws aren’t on Bluesky, so I can safely show off the vase I made for them, along with some process images of the design and prototypes. I think I’ll open an Etsy shop and sell the tiny ones. They aren’t terribly useful, but they are adorable. 😃

OK, Bluesky friends, I have a conundrum. I designed this vase/bottle as a gift for the parents in law. But the household is divided with one vote for each stopper handle design. So, which one is your favorite?

Please help, they have an unhoused genie and it’s getting cold outside! 🤭
